Halloween

We survived Halloween! It was one of Deacon's first holidays and we celebrated in a big way! We are all very exhausted but had so much fun!

We poured black paint in a pan and let Deacon paint pumpkins with his feet.

Derek reminded me I wanted a picture of him in the pumpkin...I had just finished giving him a bath and washing black paint off. I was hesitant but D reminded me he would never again be this small.

Boys will be boys..

I was trying to get Maddy to pose with Deacon..she got up for the hundreth time and he pulled her back.

Pumpkin Patch 2010

We had a great weekend full of family fun. On Saturday we spent the day at Wurth Farms with our friends the Sumners. We had so much fun and Deacon picked out a pumpkin for daddy, mommy, Maddy and himself. We went on a hayride and took lots of pictures. We finished the night off with Tokyo Hibachi with friends and a little Old Navy shopping. Deacon's having a great fall!

Friday night before the football game

We were bad luck for sure!

I'm about two feet tall this year-we can't wait to watch him grow every year.

Sweet face

He wasn't so sure about this..

Serious boy

He really had a good time but there were too many distractions for him to look at so we didn't capture many smiles.

Happy Fall y'all

I like this place mom!

Busy Bees

We have been so busy this past week that I haven't had time to update the blog! I had a course in Nashville the first weekend in October so I was gone all weekend. I didn't want to leave Deacon overnight so I drove back and forth which made for a tiring two days. Deacon is loving his Mondays with his Daddy and his Tuesdays and Thursdays with his Mimmie. I love the 2 days I get to spend with him in addition to the weekend days! We are making it just fine!

Here are some his 3 month pictures from Highfil Photography. We love Amanda's work! I love getting his pictures taken every 3 months. He has changed so much since his newborn shots.

Here he is in his baptism outfit with his boat and bible from Uncle Chase and Aunt Tay.

Such a big boy! Derek and I found this block idea on a website and made our own. We use them for lots of pictures.

My favorite picture by far! Everyone says he looks like me here but that isn't why it's my favorite- those eyes just melt my heart.

Styling in his button up! Although I think he has my coloring and eyes and lips sometimes he looks just like Derek with his expressions. Derek looks good in button ups and so does Deacon.

I was getting ready for church and Derek called me to come quick. Deacon was standing all by himself against the couch. He had been on Derek's stomach and just slid down. He stood there long enough for to take pictures on my phone and run and get the big camera.

I thought this was a sweet picture of him napping on the couch.

Hanging out at the Hunter's Moon Festival in Grand Rivers. Derek was off on Saturday and we went and walked around in Grand Rivers. We ate lunch there and Deacon enjoyed being outside.

He was worn out!

Jackson is an up and coming artist. He had an art show Sunday after church and of course we had to go buy a couple pieces for the house.

Here is Deacon paying Jackson for his print...if you look closely you can see the dollar in Deacon's hand:)

Happy Customer-Hopefully Amelia will have a bake sale (thanks to D for the idea) so she can earn some extra money too

We are so excited about this weekend because we are going to the pumpkin patch with the Sumner's. There will be lots of pictures to share for sure!
