Saturday Update

We have had a very low key week this week. Derek was sick in the beginning of the week so Maddy and I just did our best to take care of him. Beauty and the Beast last Sunday was amazing. I love going to shows and plays like that and we can't wait to take Deacon. We have now been to The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and Disney on Ice with the Boone's. We are really hoping that The Little Mermaid will go on tour and come our way!

We are still working away on the nursery. I bought things to make closet dividers so I'm going to make those when Derek gets up to pour the paint for me. I can't wait to have the nursery completed so that I can post pictures.

Maddy and I were supposed to go to Jackson's soccer game this morning but it got cancelled due to the rain so we are just hanging out on the couch until Derek gets up. We are going to spend a lazy day at home working on some nursery projects. I got all Deacon's clothes washed this so that's a plus.

Last Sunday morning I woke up at 6:00 a.m. to the feel of Deacon's kick. It was the first time I had ever felt it from the outside and it was so exciting. I have felt it several more times this week and it is utterly amazing. Derek hasn't been able to feel it yet because he always grows real still when Derek puts his hand on my stomach. Derek is going away for training next week so we hope he will be able to feel it before he leaves or when he gets back.

We had an appointment on Tuesday and all is well. He was very active while they were trying to find his heartbeat. They would pick it up on the doppler and then he would flip around. I was cracking up which made it that much harder. We have a 4d ultrasound on April 1st and the glucose test and then we start going every other week!

Pregnancy Highlights- Week 24

How Far Along: 24 weeeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 18 pounds- I think this is terrible but my doctor thinks it's perfect so I'm trying not to panic. She said there is always a big jump around 20 weeks and I have a little swelling so that could also contribute. She assured me that body will gain what it needs to so I should just relax and go with it. I have been really watching what I eat this week.
