Great is thy Faithfulness

I haven't done much updating this week because Deacon and I have been spending alot of time at church getting ready for the new Sunday school program. I am going to start teaching K-2nd grade this Sunday as we start a new sunday schools curriculum called 252. I am so excited about being a teacher and I know that the good Lord called me to do this. We had a meeting with the entire church a couple weeks ago about the new sunday school program and Jason, the children's coordinator, mentioned that the K-2nd graders needed a teacher. I instantly knew that God was saving that class for me. Those kids are near and dear to my heart and I know that we will learn so much together. I volunteered immediately after the meeting. In Luke, it tells us that for everyone who has been given much-much will be demanded. God has blessed us more this year than we deserve. He is blessing me with being able to work part-time and also with allowing my mom a job where she can keep Deacon for me. I think this was all in preparation for me to take this class as I will have a couple days off during the week to prepare my lessons.

Our church is doing really big things right now. We have started a parenting class which goes hand in hand with the sunday school program. It is teaching us that it takes a church to raise a child. This couldn't be more true. You know how important our church family is to us. Tonight I was at the church painting and Deacon got fussy so some of the older ladies took him down with them to finish preparing our dinner and then after the parenting class, Uncle Michael and Aunt Jill took him so we could paint some more. I am so glad that Deacon has such positive influences in his life and so many people who love him to pieces. I look forward to continuing to grow as a church family.

Please pray for me this Sunday and in the coming weeks as I start a new chapter in my life as a sunday school teacher. I know that God gave me a deep love for all children and I hope that I can use that for his glory!
