Another Snow Day

Today was just another snow day. We got about 6 inches of snow so there was no way Derek would let me drive to work. We just hung out aroud the house and he took me to Princeton to see one patient while someone else saw my patients in Hopkinsville.

The bedding came in yesterday and we are so excited. As soon as I got home from work we put it up in the room. We are going to wait to post pictures until the nursery is completed.

There were some decorations at Hobby Lobby that we wanted for the nursery and we were waiting for them to go half off. They finally did this week so we braved the beginning of the snow storm to go to Hobby Lobby and get them. This was probably the first of many crazy things we will do for our kids.

Tommorow we have another ultrasound so I have the day off again tommorow. We are taking Aunt Tay, Granna, and Nana with us so we hope he cooperates. We will try and post those pictures if there are any good ones.

6 years ago today we found out that Jackson would be coming into this world the following day. Derek and I were eating at Long John Silvers and I can remember crying because I had an 8am test and I didn't want to miss any of the big day. I went home and emailed my professor to ask if I could take the test early. He still had not responded when I went to bed so I got up early the next morning (4:15 to be exact) to check my email and to my surprise he said he would meet me at the school at 6 a.m. to take the test. God must have really wanted me to get to the hospital. Most of the day was a blur but I do remember that UK was playing that night. I will never forget holding him for the first time. Although we clearly remember the moment we met the Boone's none of us can seem to remember when our lives became so intertwined. They are family to us in every sense of the word. Jackson and Amelia don't complete a family tree without including our family and we are sure Deacon will do the same. As Jackson says a family grows in your heart and there family certainly grew in ours.

6 years ago tonight I had a hard time drifting off to sleep in anticipation of meeting one of the most important little boys in my life the following day. Tonight I will have trouble falling asleep as I anticipate seeing another important little boy on an ultrasound screen tommorow. God blesed our lives the day Jackson was born and now he is blessing us with our own precious little boy and we couldn't be more grateful. Praise be to God!
