My mom, Jill, and I enjoyed a day of shopping in Evansville. We bought lots of goodies for Jackson, Amelia, and Deacon. We even made it home with something for Maddy and Derek. We enjoyed lunch at CiCi's pizza and shopped until we dropped. We managed to buy Deacon a Thanksgiving outfit (which my dad and Derek aren't crazy about) and a shirt and bib for his first birthday. When you find things like this at TJMaxx you have to snatch them up or they won't be there when you need them. We got him lots of other things as well including 4 pairs of shoes which Derek and I just love. We are big fans of little shoes. We ended the day at Once Upon A Child which is a consignment store for kids. We were in heaven in there and Granna bought Deacon some very cute things.
Deacon's Goodies:
Derek spent the day at home with Maddy and then went to a Wild Game Supper that night with my dad, Michael, and the kids. It was at Jill's parents church in Crittenden. They enjoyed all kinds of different types of wild game and great fellowsip. They were gone for over 5 hours and we were getting worried about them but they had a great time. They had lots of stories to tell when they got home but none were as animated as Jackson's.
We missed Taylor and Chase on these two outings but they only get to see each other every other weekend so we understood. We remember those days well. Taylor and I often comment that Jill is our long lost sister and when we are all together you would think the 3 of us are sisters (except for our hair and skin tones) Saturday definately felt like we were sisters and my mom was helping us shop for the grandkids. We all enjoyed helping each other find just what we needed. When we are all together it's hard to tell where our family leaves off and theirs begin. We truly believe friends can be every bit as close as family.
Pregnancy Highlights- Week 22
How Far Along: 22 weeks 3 days
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 13 pounds
Maternity Clothes: Oh Yes!
Best Moment this week: Feeling Deacon's kicks, shopping for Deacon, finding a changing pad and cover
Gender: It's A Boy – Deacon Asher
Movement: I've started feeling some kicks in there but none from the outside yet. I put my hand on my stomach when I feel it but I'm not very patient.
Food Craving: milk, orange juice, and dosidos
What I miss: sleeping on my stomach
Sleep: Still hit or miss-Deacon is pretty still all day but starts moving like crazy about 9 at night so I think sleep might be a thing of the past when he gets here-Aunt Tay has already offered to take the midnight shift!
What I am looking forward to: Girls night out Friday night, feeling Deacon from the outside, D feeling Deacon
Symptoms: My tailbone is much better this weekend. This has been a pretty good week as far as symptoms go.
