Registering

We had the best time registering for Deacon last night. It didn't take as long as we were anticipating so that was a plus. We had been given lots of good advice from our friends so that made it so much easier. We are still adding to the registries online so they aren't technically finished.


D doesn't do smells! We sure hope this works!


He was curious how he was going to look buying cases of diapers. I think he looks pretty good.

Today I was hoping for a snow day so I could stay home all day with Maddy. Derek had court so we were hoping that would be cancelled as well. Maddy got me up at 4:30 a.m. to use the bathroom and there wasn't a drop on the ground. I went back to bed and hoped it would start before I got up again....no such luck! Maddy woke me up again at 6 to eat and the road was still clear so off to work I went. I only worked until 11:00 a.m. because I only needed to see half of my patients. I had already asked someone to come work for me on Saturday in the event I couldn't make it to work Friday so I left the other half of my patients for her to see. My job is very flexible but it's important to me that my patient's are seen 5x a week so if we are expecting snow I always make arrangements ahead of time for coverage just in case so we aren't trying to find someone to cover last minute! Derek decided to go on to court this morning--he got a little ways down the road and got the call it was cancelled so he got to come back home. He met me for lunch and then we came home to relax with Maddy. We took a nap and have been working on our registries. The snow just now started and now it's dark so we can't even play in it! Next year we are hoping for at least one good snow so we can play in it with Deacon.

We are settling in for quiet night at home which is a rarity for us. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
