Wow! I can't believe we only have a maximum of 8 weeks 4 days to go. That is so exciting. Deacon is still hanging out in a breech position so it's looking like if he decides to stay this way I will have to have a c-section. Of course we know that he could still move and we are keeping the faith that he will but we are also preparing ourselves for a c-section if needed. I just keep reminding myself that God knew the day and method to which Deacon would enter this world long before he was ever conceived. I know that if we end up with a c-section God has his hand in it and it will be the best decision for all of us.
I found out last Wednesday night that I do have gestational diabetes which made me very upset and anxious. I have done good so far keeping my blood sugar numbers under control so I hope it will stay this way until he makes his grand appearance. I had a hard time talking about it to anyone last week without bursting into tears but I'm doing better this week. Derek was at work when I found out and when he called I could barely talk because I was so upset. I always do that when something is bothering me and then I finally hear his voice. I'm trying to work on that. I have lost 4 pounds since I have changed my eating habits which worries me a little but I'm sure everything will turn out ok. We would appreciate your prayers that my blood sugars would stay under control until Deacon is born. It always amazes me how people find it appropriate to ask how much weight you've gained. My patients at work are the worst about this! This is very personal to me and I don't even think Derek knows the answer to that. My pre-pregnancy weight is something I would never share so I'm certainly not going to share my pregnancy weight.
Jackson and Amelia spent the night on Saturday night and ended up spending half the night sleeping on the laundry room floor on a pallet as we were under a tornado warning. It's always an adventure when we have them. We love them both dearly and we are trying to soak up as much time as possible with them before Deacon comes.
I will probably post nursery pictures this weekend. We are so in love with his nursery. I could sit in there for hours. We are so thankful that my Mawma..with a little help from Pawpa and Deacon's Granna and Aunt Tay made the pillows to go on his book shelf. We couldn't have pulled his room off without the help of mom, dad, Taylor, Mawma, Pawpa, Mrs. Moyers, and Mrs. Dena. We are thankful they can pull our ideas off because even though I can come up with ideas I usually need some help pulling them off.
Pregnancy Highlights- Week 31
How Far Along: 31 weeks 3 days
Maternity Clothes: Yes I love how comfortable they are
Best Moment this week: Putting a few little things in Deacon's bag for the hospital, getting our embroidered baskets from Mrs. Dena, spending time with Jackson and Amelia
Food Craving: Most anything that I can't have right now!
What I miss: My feet and legs looking normal-varicose veins and cankles don't look too appealing in shorts
Sleep: My sleep was nonexistent this weekend thanks to the storms!
What I am looking forward to: Mother's Day on Sunday, the early service next Sunday, getting the rest of Deacon's things from Mrs. Dena-we ended up ordering his coming home outfit in the next size up and she is putting his monogram on both just in case!
Symptoms: The tailbone pain has crept back a little this week but not near as bad as before!
